Dans Dakar 2014, 8-9 August!

Dans Dakar 2013 was a great experience. Me and four friends went out to Stockholm, slept in a small Volvo for two days, laughed, sweated, drink drank drunk and foremost - jammed out (went nuts) to some great artists.

I had tons of great things to say about The Prodigy before I saw them live, but man, their performance was at least in the top three best shows I've seen (heard). Smack My Bitch Up is perhaps not my favorite song of theirs, but it was amazing live since everybody knows it and the whole crowd went wild.

It was a great show from Kill The Noise as well, he really got the crowd going and did some sick stuff that proved DJ'ing definitely isn't dead. It was the second time I saw KOAN Sound, and I think they outdid themselves compared to the first time I catched them, super funky. Biggest disappointment was the very un-involved Justice, who "gracefully" "blessed" the festival-goers with as many as five arm-waves and a few nods.

This year should be sick too. I am very hyped to catch Skrillex for the first time. Skrillex latest release was very fresh and definitely an interesting, great album. Zedd, while not my usual cup of tea is an artist that I think will shine in a live setting, his music is built for an audience.
Glitch Mob I am sure can introduce a very groovy feel, they might very well prove for an interesting interaction with the audience as well!
Although Die Antwoord is a group I've tried and failed to get into, they sure have a big fanbase and are bound to bring lots of die-hard fans to the festival.

All in all, Dans Dakar is for sure worth the cost of a ticket, and should most likely prove to be an exciting experience in 2014 as well. Go there to catch the mentioned artists and MANY more!
