You bet your ass it's Zelda time

Hell, it's about time! As promised earlier, this is a post with a theme! The theme is Zelda. So here's what's going to go down, I'll post the two best Zelda dubstep remixes that I know of, and I'll be damned if anyone manages to go hater-mode on 'em

Ephixa - Lost Woods Dubstep Remix. The guys familiar with Zelda know this song by heart, I'm sure. This remix just takes it to another level, it manages to keep the epic aura and the originality while still delivering a crisp dubstep sound to it. The production quality just seals the deal and makes the song amazing, eye-watering and banging!

I found the preview to this back in late 2010, it almost made me fall of my chair in surprise, and I eagerly awaited the full release for what felt like an eternity. The song is called The Hero and is made by Nostalgia, a producer who deserves a lot more attention in the dubstep scene. The description is pretty much the same as for the song above, i.e - an absolutely crispy bass bomb!

Couple o' Mixes

The nightly post today is gonna be two mixes, one readily available by the click of a button and the other one, still a free one, but it requires a little bit off attention from you folks!
So, let's get to it~

First up, is Dieselboy - Unleashed!(!) Now, you might've already heard this, since it's not crispy new, but if you have, you're probably singing it's praise right now. This mix is good, real good. We're talking 5-hookers-at-once kinda good. It's diverse, starting of with a lot of hard d&b tracks, transitioning into meaty dubstep - all wrapped up in a neat and unique mix package.
Dieselboy really hit home with this one!

Righty'o, the second one won't be linked here, and it will require you to have a Facebook account. The mix I'm talking about? Oh, it's just the brand new ultratight mix from Excision, and it's called The X Sessions. Every song off of his and Downlink's (also brand new) EP, Existence, is on there, along with a whole array of old, new, and unheard releases from many familiar names.

So how do you get it? Well, click here -> Dope-As-Fuck-Webpage -> Click the "Like on Facebook" button, and download that shizzle! And while you wait, the Existence VIP, as an interest-tickler!

KOAN Sound!

Hiya folks!
This time I feel like showing you something that is a little hard to pinpoint what it really is.
The stuff that KOAN Sound makes, walks the line between a couple of different genres. They have the heavy half beat from Dubstep but it's all executed in around 100-110 bpm wich is more normal for hip hop and such!
Incredibly inspiring and awesome I must say!

First up is this killer track, that was discribed by one of my friends as "a dubstep version of Rage Against the Machine".

Second tune goes for a more smoother vibe but with some more work on the drums. Every last hit is amazingly well put in place and the overall feeling is really dreamy and groovy at the same time. Check it out!
Happy Hipsters by KOAN Sound

KOAN Sound's latest EP was dropped in late may, this year! "Max Out" EP is one of the most interesting releases so far this year and we, the crew of BASSPOLICE, are anxiously waiting for more!

If you want more of KOAN you should head over to their SoundCloud http://soundcloud.com/koan-sound!

ill.Gates + Vibesquad - The Fire Man

ill.Gates, glitch hop veteran, teams up with the Vibesquad to form a killer combo. This song comes with so much added swag you might turn into Flava Flav just by listening to it...

BASSPOLICE: SUNDAY WRAP-UP

As you might've guess from the crappy homemade artwork above, today is sunday wrap-up. Now what that means is we take all the songs from the week that has passed and throw them into one big post. This should make it a bit more viewer friendly!
Since this week was the first, and since we missed a few days, there'll be 3(!) fresh songs at the bottom of the post!

Without further or do, the list!:

SMASH YOUR FUCKING FACE Vol. 3 - Smash Gordon

Evol Intent - Middle Of  The Night

Now, for the three special goodies! First uppp....

Tomba - Choke On Coke VIP
If you thought you'd heard heavy before, you were wrong. This song should get both hardcore dubstepfans and metalheads alike to go 'if there's no mosh pit... I'LL MAKE ONE'.

Ajapai - Energize
It's fresh, it's funky, groovy and filthy. Really feeling this song right now, can't wait to hear the full release!

Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes - Cantina Song (Tin Can Telephone)
Now this might seem like taking the piss, but believe it when it's said - this song is awesome.

Feed Me Feat. Kill The Noise - Muscle Rollers

Any Drum & Bass fan worth their salt knows Spor, and if you do, chances are - you love him.
Under the alter ego Feed Me, he has released some tech house/electro/dubstep influenced music that's mindblowingly good.

This is the kick-ass tune 'Muscle Rollers' from his EP 'Feed Me's Big Adventure' which you should really, really check out if you're feeling this song, because every tune on there is ill as a mfkr.

Terravita - Up In The Club

Terravita - Up In The Club... there's good songs, and then there's this song. One of the biggest tunes in the Drumstep/Dubstep universe for sure. Every day that passes where this song doesn't have 10+ million views is another day spent wondering why the hell this song doesn't have 10+ million views. Crank your speakers boys 'n girls.

Eazy E - Boyz N The Hood (Squincy Jones 16Bit Edit)

Squincy Jones usually makes pretty bitchin' music overall, but here's one that's a personal fave, a '16Bit Edit' of Eazy E's 'Boyz N The Hood', real grime-groove right here! Wouldn't even know what to label it, hip-hop? dubstep? glitch-hop? I'dun know, dun' really care, it's dope.
